20th Century Legacy

First of the seriesA newspaper article describing atrocities being committed in Europe ripped my complacency apart and reminded me that Man´s inhumanity continues unchanged. This series of 22 graphic posters (ink & pencil on paper) depicts painful world problems presented in an aesthetic form as giant postage stamps. Conceived at the end of one of the bloodiest centuries, it shows what we will pass on to the next generations and that today´s globalisation only benefits the Few while the gap between rich and poor keeps growing. The work is drawn in black & white, printed and then hand coloured with pencils. It is then made into sheets of 12 identical stamps with individual headings.
